Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming thibauld moulaert<\/a> from the Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes<\/a> \/ IUT2 Grenoble<\/a> for a three-day research visit, during which he gave a lunch talk.
In his presentation, he addressed key debates on active ageing, age-friendly cities and communities – including the WHO Age-Friendly Cities and Communities initiative – and the relationship between space and ageing. These perspectives are highly relevant to nursing science, social work, and gerontology, as they connect ageing with care, policy, citizenship, participation, and everyday environments.

The lunch talk was organized by the EPICENTRE-PARTICIPATIO team, in a collaboration between the Hochschule f\u00fcr Soziale Arbeit FHNW<\/a> Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW<\/a> (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland), Nursing Science (INS), Institut f\u00fcr Pflegewissenschaft, Universit\u00e4t Basel<\/a> at the Universit\u00e4t Basel<\/a> and the EU funded PAAR NET (PAAR-Net)<\/a> COST Action 22167 Participatory Approaches with Older Adults.

During his three-day visit, we also had inspiring exchanges with Barbara Groot-Sluijsmans<\/a>, Christian Reutlinger<\/a>, and our research team – Andrea Kaiser-Grolimund<\/a>, Nora Peduzzi<\/a>, Katja Jungo<\/a>, and S\u00e9verine Soiron-Ballmer<\/a>– on the participation of older people and caring cities.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring together how social work can rethink the city through the lens of care.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
